Lord of the flies : Free topic entry.

I really liked the story, mainly because of the relationship we can do between this and other well-known stories such as Peter Pan or The Chronicles of Narnia. The problem of the book is the complexity of their vocabulary and the extension of this, but not subtract points to its history.

Prediction & Reaction Chapter 2 - 5

Chapter 2 :

- I think that the group will have very deep problems because the tension between Ralph and Jack. This problem will generate irreversible consequences maybe as the death or dissaparance of one or more Child.

- For this imminent problems in the group relationships, Ralph will try to get a pacific solution, but Jack and his followers will not coperate with the development of the solutions.

Chapter 3  &  4 :

- At this instances, few trouble affect the children group, for this reasson i think that the main consequences will began to appear and gradually the group will began to separate and present the main conflicts.

- The group will divide in two main parts, one of this main group divisions will support Ralph, as his main first leader, and the other side will propose Jack as the new leader.

Chapter 5 :

At this instances, we will see the intention of Ralph to find a solution for all the problems, but this intention will not work because the little coperation of the rest of the group specially Jack.

This conversations will finally form fights between some characters, maybe Ralph, Jack and Piggy.

The lord of the flies

a) 1st Chapter summary :

On the first chapter of the story appears the main characters, Ralph, a young boy with fair hair and piggy, a fat boy with glasses with breathing problems (asthma) and also problems on swiming. This two young boys appears alone on a deserted island because the plane that transport a group of young children from britain fell into the island. Some time later, Ralph and Piggy decide to play at the beach and ralph find a conch that he uses for signal the others possible survivors and for his surprise, a lot of children listen de advise and start to find this couple of boys. In this group of children they are Jack, the choir boss and Simon that later going to explore the island with ralph and they find a boar and jack fill afraid to kill it, but then, he dennies this because he fill shy. Finally, all the group of children make a votation and decide that Ralph will be the leader of the group.

b) Quotes :

" Ralph, we can use this to call the others. Have a meeting. they´ll come when hear us" - Piggy to ralph about the conch they find on the beach.

"I was going to" said Jack. He was ahead of them and they could not see his face. Abaout Jack, on the boar episode.

c) Discussion questions :

- Will the children group survive on this island ? how? .

- Ralph will be a good leader ?

- Some of the boys will have problems with Ralph ?

d) Prediction :

I think that the group of boys will have a lot of problems in the island but they will be able to solve this because they will have a good development of strategies for survival.

e) Reaction:

I think that Ralph and Piggy will have a better relationship in the future, because they are the firs characters in the story and also the main characters.

Sillicon Valley, United States. A group of six students from the 5 continents started a project on 2011 for innovate on the global education. They advance 3 of the 7 steps that complete the objectives of the project like said Kim, the south-Korea Student:

" From November until today, we raise more than a half of the resources that we need for complete our project, so we can say that we reached 3 from the 7 mean objectives".

Students from Korea, Kenya, Australia, Chile, Canada and England started an educational project very similar to the International Bachilleaurate, Anthony, the english british student explain more about this relationships between IB and this new project:

"The main difference between the IB and our project is that our system is absolutely technologic".

Our organizers told us that this project have 7 main steps :

"The first step was to get sponsors, on the first months we got the 4 main sponsors that we need, after the sponsorship, we need to collect money and we collect more than a half of the neccesary resources like said Kim, the third step was to analize our international survey about the succes that this project could have on a soon future". Said Pedro, the chilean student.

The project have the aspiration of being complete at 2013, with more than 1 school per continent using this new international education project that have for main objective to create an global technologic education in the majority of the countries on the 5 continents.

Comparison :

Between the 1st day of school at the village and the 1st day of school in Barbados, we can compare a lot of diferences, for example, the expectations that have the majority of the children at the village school, that is to work at the fields or in the factory and the expectations of the children in Barbados, that is much better and varied, like for example to be a sanitary inspector, a "civil servant" or other alternatives that give the oportunjity and motivation to his students.Also is important that the Barbados school is quite bigger than the Village one, with more students and its possible that it is more stricter. 

Is important to know that both of the writers of this 1st impressions are youngs students from each schools, so there is a similarity between this 2 texts. 

Book Page 31: Reading comprehension Activity.

1. The expectation of the learners of the village school is to work on the fields or in the village factory.

2. The sisters help the narrator to dress up, they also advise him abaout the school and also they cooked the boy lunch, a baked potato.

3. It reffers to the 16 years old Junior teacher.

4. Is because the writer dont fill motivated at the school.

5. After a while, the writer fills more motivated, a veteran on the school and their behaviour changes according to what they lived at this small school.

First Impressions

1.The first time i liked a girl.

The first time i liked a girl, i think that was amazing strange because i never think before that some day would have fillings like that.Also, on that momment i start to think about mix Mackay & St. Margaret and a lot of other ideas that i was ashamed to share with my classmates because there will think i was strange or gay because when we was young, St Margaret girls was like our main enemies. Some months later, i discover that a  lot of my friends have the same ideas and fillings and some time later, may be 1 or 2 years, we all have some girl friends or other relationships with other girls. 

2. My First Party. 

I was 13 years old, my friends go to parties for a couple of years ago, but i was an different case, because my parents try to "Protect" me more than other parents, For this reason, i think that night parties was the best thing on the planet, and when i got the posibility i was really excited, but in the party i got a little dissapointed, because this super parties was a little boring, my school classmates on a side, a group of girls in the other side shouting and laughing of things that no one can understand and finally a group of hungry friends eating candies, fried chips and drinking soda on a corner. 

3. My first day of school.

My first day on the playgroup of the mackay school, was a very cold day, i remember i arrive with my mother and my old brother that was on kinder 2 years above.My mother, have by second time the experience of leave a little children alone in that cold gray concrete cube, that in that times was on construction. Instantly after i arrive to the school i have my first problems, i was angry with my teacher because "she dosent love me" as my kinder garden teachers, so she told this to my mother and my mother told this to all his friends and all my family, very shamefull story.

*Our survey was applied on 49 students on 6th grade at the mackay school, but in all this questions they are 10 students that dont use facebook so they dont answer the survey.

The facebook privacy.

What is it ?
Facebook is the biggest social network on the world, with app 800 million of users.
Facebook have a privacy service for all his users.
This privacy can be aplied on photos, videos, private information.
But, this privacy its really effective ?

The problem here is that every people have facebook, can add you as a friend, and anyone can hack your information, photos, statements and other private devices just having you for any reason as a friend on facebook.

The relationship between Facebook privacy and ethics ...

The problem is that facebook is a huge social network, in this network, exist a lot of false accounts uses for bad   pruposes, for example the cyber bullying or hacking other user information, so, what we can do if the privacy of facebook maybe dont give the users a good security ?

Example .. You recieve a friend request of a young girl that send you a message saying that she love you, you accept the request and few weeks later your photos and messages appears on a pedophilia blog, because this young woman was really a pedophile and publish your material on this blog.

The personal information on facebook, is public and shared with united states intelligence service.

Any one can download your photos.

you cant hide your personal devices like sexual orientation, relationships, photos, music, work etc..

so in conclussion, Facebook privacy works ? we think no, because sometimes we dont know that all our information can be occuped, shared, downloaded, copy or edited by any one with bad intentions.

The ib profile in relationship to the technology and science

First of all , the three aspects i choose is :

a)Inquirers.
b)Risk takers.
c)Balanced

1) To be an inquirer, means  when you investigate something for your personal interests, this in very imporant because without know your final results you investigate in order to obtain the knowledges; This is very important in science and technology because without this characteristic, never would achieve any progress on the investigations.

2) A risk taker, is a person that for his ideas does great things and brings forward no matter the problems and risks which may have; Without this characteristic, an investigation could not develop and obtain any result.

3) Balanced: Means when a subject achieve a balance between his ideas, objectives and his personal condition, this is very important in the sience and investigation because help to manage deadlines and process for achieving developments  on any objectives.

My opinion about the wrongfull birth text.

At first, before read more carefully the text, i understand the parents case as a act of cowardice and injustice, because the demand money for mantain a baby that they created together and conscious that something may go wrong, but after i read the text with more atention, i reach the conclusion that this couple have the right of abbort because of their situation and im informed because the case of my uncle, that is very complicated to take care of a person with down syndrome. Finally, i think the final resolution is the best for this case because the parents will can cost all the medical and educational issues with his daughter.

first english class

My first 2012 english class.

On march 9th, 2012 i had my first english class with my peer group, the first issue we saw was the ethic and moral, and then we work in groups of 3 person with a theme decided by the teacher.

"Ethic means the moral rules that poses any sets of rules or laws of a socciety or other group of people"

My ethical dilemma :

i have 20 years old and my girlfriend is pregnant, she have 18 years old so she can be mother if she want, one of my friends that is a doctor offer me to abort the baby for 200.000 pesos but my girlfriend said that she do what feels right to me.

I abort the baby and live my teen life like any other ?

or

I take care of the baby and live my life as a exemplary father with my girlfriend ?
